re. Nortel, another bull market fairy tale (optical equipment is immune to downturns) evaporates... HL, i'm not really concerned...their industrial minerals division is top notch in its field, so they shouldn't have trouble selling it to another bidder, like e.g. Minorco, Billiton, Rio Tinto, etc... in any case, i'm writing to them today to see what i can find about their plans. it's important that the bank debt be rescheduled to give them time to negotiate a good price. we'll see how far along they are with that.
