Hello Yaacov.

I am not quite sure which meeting you are talking about. The next. scheduled regular meeting of the FED is in March. Talk is or the hope is that the FED will cut interim. Thus sometime next week. But who knows.

But now to my statement about nothing this week. I must have heard something wrong. So I will give you the data which will include estimates.

Wednesday Feb 21st.

Trade Deficit for Dec. - 32 bill.
CPI - 0.3%
Food and Energy - 0.2%
Treasury budget Jan. - 73 bill.

Thursday Feb 22nd.

initial claims for the week to Feb 17th. - 350,000
leading indicators for Jan. - 0.4%

Couldn't see anything for Friday.

Well. Nobody corrected my earlier statement of no indicators this week. I am not sure if this is good or not. gg. It means hardly anyone is posting. I guess it will pick up once the market gets better. I know I am tired of the whole market and therefore don't feel like posting much.

Fla.

Were you able to pick up some CHADS as a souvenir while in FLA? CHADS may go out of style in FLA. Too many weak hands trying to push through paper when it comes to the presidential race.

You may still be reading this before going to bed. 12:30 am is not too bad.

Yaacov. I forgot to mention that the FED had a meeting this morning at 11 am. They supposedly discussed the discount rate. There will be another meeting next Monday and the discount rate supposedly will be discussed again. So maybe we will get another rate cut this month.

In March is what we call the Open Fed Meeting, I believe. At those meetings we collectively hold our breaths. That's when the FED will inform us with things like this: Rate hike, rate cut, no change. I believe it's only those meetings where we will hear down the road what has been discussed. When the FED decides on a cut or whatever at other meetings, it's called interim, in between actions. The FED will also keep in touch by phone.
Maybe I will check on this matter some more so I really know what the heck I am talking about. gg.
