J.B.C: There are 2 issues. The magnitude of the drop and the drop in momentum. The first is absolute but the second is relative to the chosen starting base. If you use a base say start 99,, you will observe that the momentum is very positive. Yet growth of revenues/earnings is lower today than in 99. It therefore seems logical that some of that on balance volume has to change to the downside. A low will be signalled when we enter a distinct capitulation phase where the VIXN , the Sentiment indicators, the highs/ lows and other indicators all converge and the media switches to gloom and doom..
