The time and date for the funeral services for fallen NASCAR Winston Cup champion Dale Earnhardt have been announced, and the family of the seven-time titlewinner has decided to let all of the driver’s fans share the moment. Obviously the Cavalry Church in Charlotte can not possible handle the multitudes of fans that would want to attend the service, so it will be closed to include only immediate family, employees of Dale Earnhardt Inc., Richard Childress Racing, NASCAR, and other Winston Cup teams. However, the family has decided that the service will be televised so that all of the fans that have voiced their support to the Earnhardt family will be able to honor Dale’s memory. The service is planned for Noon on Thursday and is scheduled to be televised live on FOX Sports Net.(SpeedVision)(2-20-2001)
