My husband starting making trips to Mexico when he was 12 and didn't get sick till he was 39. He ate and drank everything and thought he was invincible.......he was wrong and when he got the "real McCoy" he had newfound respect for Montezuma!! LOL You might have had a minor case of food poisoning but you didn't get Montezuma's revenge.

But then again.......you seem so full of verbal poison maybe even the MR E.coli bacteria couldn't survive your throat not to speak of your stomach and intestines.

By the way, since the stomach is a hostile environment to most micro-organisms it is sometimes necessary to ingest a relatively large number of bacteria in order to get "sick". In the case of Salmonella, an infective dose is one million bacteria.

I worked for several years in the field of Gnotobiology so I am well acquainted with intestinal flora and it's whys and wherefores. In fact I spent alot of time defining what exactly was present in the intestinal tracts of specially raised lab animals and helped diagnose problems that resulted from an inbalance in their intestinal flora.
