<< News of the spending cuts comes against the backdrop of comments made a couple of weeks ago by CFO, Michael Lehman, that Sun is targeting annual sales growth of between 20 to 35 per cent for the next two to three years, far lower than historical growth rates of more than 50 per cent. >>

I hope that these reduced growth rate expectations can be met. Lehman made these statements only a couple of weeks ago, so if they have to revise them downward already, look out below.

Of course a lot depends on the Nasdaq. Techs are getting crushed left and right. Heck, even MSFT is only up 27% this year.

MSFT up 27% vs. SUNW down 30% this year. Hmmm, who's taking market cap from whom?

Dear Brian: Well, to me thats a POSITIVE not a negative statement. We will come out of this stronger, meaner and leaner. Remember Scott was in the process of implementing many GE electives and this will probably continue and perhaps be even easier to implement. I dont know the short term future but I honestly am very bullish for the long term. JDN
