I suspect his backtester reinvests the profits along the way. If so, he would have to change it in order to do any meaningful comparisons.

I found an error. My cross-over detector showed a negative crossover twice in a row, which isn't supposed to be possible. Thanks, Steve.

A very tiny positive crossover 2/5/01, 1330 wasn't detected.
Maybe the precision wasn't great enough.

Also, your backtester shows a lot of cool data, some of which I'd like to do, too. Is your data from a commercial product?
