"They are worried by what they've seen from Bush so far, noting he attended a
major fund-raiser with timber interests last spring in Portland, Ore., and pointing
to people like Nelson -- who favors abolishing the Forest Service -- as evidence
BUSH IS LISTENING TO EXTREMSITS.

Unfortunately, I don't believe the article mentioned Gail Norton. I wonder what she will do.Did she lie
to the Senate about her passion for environmental legislation in order to win confirmation?!

"The No. 1 concern is that the edicts from Washington are not the way to solve
problems," said Doug Crandall, chief of staff for the House subcommittee on
forests and forest health.

Bush should resign since he doesn't feel that Washington or the
Federal Government should be responsible for forestry, education etc.
We waste money on his expenses, his salary and expenses and salary of those in his cabinet.

I don't believe anyone would miss him except those photographers who depend upon
the photo-opportunities that he offers in place of thought and action, and I don't mean military action
either. We need a leader! A smile from Bush on prime time TV is no guarantee that he
will do anything beneficial for the country.

The facts seems to suggest that Bush may create more problems that he will solve.
the bombing of Iraq was only a modest success in terms of military action, according to what I heard on tv,
and Saddam has threatened retaliation. Also, Bush has managed
to alarm the Chinese, the Europeans and just about everyone else with his missile shield
program. I heard on the news tonight that China and Iraq cooperate on information. Why?
They fear the United States.

I live in CA, buddy. Tree huggers aren't too popular in this state right now. Their endless objections to power plants over the last couple of decades had more than a little to do with our current power problems. You may blame this on greedy corporations, but they wouldn't have the opportunity if we had another half-dozen power plants.

Get ready for the nukes. They're coming.
