Plunge Protection Team (PPT). Well I can't say that I'm all that familiar with that branch of the government.<gg> But if prices do plunge from here I think the forces that be whether you talk about the FED or PPT will step in and do "something." Based on what I am seeing now I believe we still need to see more capitulation in prices before a real bottom can be placed.

Time will tell. The good thing about all these questions is that we'll have are answers soon enough.

Let me ask you a question. Does the market have to respond favorably (immediately) by any move by the FED or PPT. Do you think another 50 basis pts or even 100 would be enough to turn things around if we are indeed heading into a major recession. I think over the long term you definitely don't want to fight the FED but just how long do you think things could play out if this time is different. Sorry to say that I am not a student of history when it comes to recessions (possible).
