M, with all due respect, I think your post validates much of what my post was about. Lots of ordinary people getting on with their lives. In order to do so, assuming they're long, they're getting out of the market. Let's say, for example, you have a pretty good job that pays $50,000 a year. You have a choice: live your life, or lose your money and experience anguish in the stock market. Not a difficult choice, IMO. Again, I hope I haven't misunderstood your point. PB
