I agree that WCDMA was intended as a work around of QCOM patents. Unfortunately, over the last two years, courts in the USA, Japan, Korea & Europe have upheld QCOM's IPR as essential for all flavors of CDMA. If you read my last post to you, I explained why I believe China will build out a CDMA 2G network nationwide that will be upgraded quickly to 2.5G, then 3G.

Again I will place faith in QCOM & not in the sour grapes gang..... AKA the GSM cabal.
