And I am sorry that I missed that 20-gun salute, but I forgot to set the alarm and had a hard time getting out of bed this morning. It looks like I was not the only one. Maybe the others thought the invitation said "PM" not "AM."

I hate to miss any more of the festivities (the parade should be exciting), but my neighbor's car battery is dead and someone needs to take her shopping for one so that she can go to work this morning. She must have the best deal, so I am sure we are embarking on a journey to Kragen's, Sears, Wal-Mart, NAPA, and every other store selling batteries.

Happy Birthday, Rambi. I hope you're having a relaxing day and get lots of gemstones of your choice. <g> The place is beautifully spiffed up here, I see. CR, will you come over to the LWP in June for mine, I like your sense of taste.

I'm taking some time off from SI, attending to lots of long-neglected things. I'm thinking of you all with great fondness and will talk to you soon.
