The Bull and the Bear: Ever wonder how they came up with the bull and bear as
symbols stock market cycles?
In the middle ages in Europe, they would have festivals
with bull and bear fights, where the spectators would
bet on who would win, presumably when this crowd went on
to engage in trading commodities and then stocks, these
colorful icons were remembered.

Also a bull attacks by coming at it's victim low and
thrusting him up, while a Bear rises up to great his
adversary and pounds down on him.

Hey John... just saw your post... I think the 2270 number may have been the truly important one... and we came very close to hitting it this morning. (2279)

Now we seem to be seeing a strong rally in Nasdaq off that point.

Double Bottom... or just one more round trip ahead to Nasdaq 3,000?

Regards,

Ron

Granville Big Game playbook says we're into the 3rd quarter of the bear.

Message 15394459

We know how this game turns out- the bears win the next 2 quarters, then the bulls win the rematch. <g>

Guess we found out soon enough that 1250 wouldn't hold- now will today's low hold? We'll see soon enough. I thought I saw the PPT limo outside at 1230 SPX. <g>
