cpi numbers show we will be lucky to get .25 in march....I think todays report removed all doubt as to whether he will to another intra meeting cut...it aint gonna happen, and greeny is gonna be less aggressive on cuts for remainder of year.

It is not looking pretty, but I am still not selling jdsu in here.

The inflation might have existed if it werent for AG. We will never know. A wise policy may have been derailed by unforseen events--election, energy et al. But if we give him the benefit of the doubt he should be proactive now. What does 1/10% mean when compared to the results of a nasdaq meltdown which could be just starting. Stopped the meltdown in early january with a rate cut. Will he try again? Will it succeed if he does? Mike

How can he react faster when all the data he looks at is 1-3 months old by the time he sees it for the first time? He's interpretting old data, so he will always be reactive, rather than proactive.
