John, in doubt, check another index.
I like the Russel 1000: pure US companies with no overseas bias. Re: nybot.com
Some noise from the NDX/COMPX charts does not appears.
Today's low 670.61, Green Put low 670.89. But Dec 2000 had 662.22 low--> IMHO no double bottom yet.

SPX has a major weekly trendline off the lows in 1996 and 98
and the market is sitting right on it at 1270.

Looks like a strong attempt at a base here.

But not yet ready to commit on any long positions.
