Anything can be argued either way. My point was that his methods were based on a strong fundamental foundation: trade with the trend, cut losses quickly, let profits run, etc. This will work today (the 90s and 00s, sorry I didn't think you would take "today" literally). And, yes, one of the reasons for his success was a bull market. But, he had the sense to stay out of the market when it wasn't in a bull phase, and this is talked about in the book.
