There are bogus rumors in the market that the Fed will hold an emergency meeting to
address problems rooted in--of all places--Turkey where overnight interest rates spiked to
over 4,000%. Yes, 4,000%. The theory is that just as Thailand was the epicenter of the
Asian financial crises, Turkey could be the epicenter of the next crisis. Both Thailand's and
Turkey's economies are roughly $500 Bln in size.

This bounce still does nothing for me. Like I said this morning, getting COMPX over 2440 or so will begin to impress me. Everyone alays thinks all the bad news is out. I think there is so much of it now that anything short of capitulation just won't do. The bear grinds on...
