IMO, "stagflation" is more a political term than an economic one. . . obviously created for spin effect. Prices burp all the time. One month means little-to-nothing on the larger scale. . . .especially the way that revisions come out a month later that contradict these numbers. Tabacco rose sharply. . . that can't continue. Natural gas rose like crazy. Why not, with the West Coast electric companies going down the tubes. It is to be expected. . . .as is a decrease in natural gas prices in the coming months.

Show me 2 or 3 months of steadily increasing CPI and PPI and I'll be convinced.

This thing called the market is like a multi-player chess match. . . no, not that artistic. . .rather a poker game. . . with each player trying to gain a psychological edge, while posturing to intimidate opponents and jockeying for position, careful not to give away behavioral clues, while waiting to make their one big strike. The media is simply the vehicle to throw off other players.

Spin. . . spin . . . spin. . . .the room spins to the tune of those who benefit most!
