ROFL
that's very good.
And we KNOW ALbert Schwitezer(sp?) caused famines, and God only KNOWS what havoc Mother Theresa unleashed.

Radioactivity would have been discovered by
someone else eventually.

Not only that, the absence of Mme. Curie may have opened an opportunity for someone else who would have done something even better. Maybe there was some poor kid in Curie's fourth grade class who lost out to her for the science prize, never got that scholarship, gave up hope and became a goose force feeder instead of a scientist. Maybe if he had won the science prize, he would have gone on to find a cure for cancer or the common cold. Who knows? Not worth worrying about.
