09:56 ET Fed Rumors : Some trading floor sources attributing market recovery to rumors of an emergency Fed meeting. Though rumors of emergency Fed meetings are almost a weekly event, actual emergency meetings are extremely rare. Nevertheless, the talk is getting some mileage today

Don: The NASDAQ volume has pulled back significantly the past hour. At mid session(12:45PM)the volume was 1106M shares giving an average of 340M shares/hour for the morning. Over the last hour 172M shares was traded(1278M -1106M). We could have prices deteriorate if volume does not pick up.
