Chaz,

<< How about posting on the Q threads for CDMA discussions, since that is clearly irrelevant to Nokia. >>

Perhaps you could explain to me how CDMA is "clearly irrelevant to Nokia"?

CDMA is exceptionally relevant to Nokia, IMO. Both the cdmaOen variety, and the 1xRTT/1XTREME variety and especially the W-CDMA variety where they have been expending the majority of their R&D dollars for the last few years.

Consequently, carranza2's post that I responded to is certainly relevant to discussion on this board ... and since the thread is unmoderated and has no rules, actually there isn't much that could be considered irrelevant, here.

<< As far as I know the word "stupid" is yours, no one else has used the term to my knowledge >>

That is correct. I used "stupid" as the antonym of "smart" as in "Smart CDMA operators", as opposed perhaps to others who chose W-CDMA over cdma2000 for a 3G IMT-2000 solution.

Maybe "daft" is a better term. As carranza2 points out the "Euros may, if they have a lucid interval, go to CDMA2000/GSM overlay which should be available before WCDMA is in full rollout".

Do you have a better antonym for "lucid"?

<< where the action is - in CDMA land - or the land of the Q. >>

This week CDMAland is in Cannes France. That's where the CDMA action is.

Soon it will be in Hannover, Germany.

<< Will Nokia join the world, or hunker down within its sad limited world? >>

Limited?

Sad?
