Get real. If you are in a position of power, you don't have to finesse. And the arabs and the military respect power far more than we do. Colin wanted a show of force before the trip just for that reason. That was to me the best reason given on the Sunday morning talk shows. I didn't say Colin had the power now. I said if you are in a position etc. Also, I said Colin wanted a show of force. No way did I say that we had the power before the raids. In fact, not responding would have shown the opposite. And you may be very right and I very wrong, but nonetheless I am entitled to voice my concern/complaint.<<<<< Absolutely, you have that right. I have never once ever said you didn't. What I am suggesting is that you get your hatred under control; such that instead of looking like a GW basher, you would look like someone who has analyzed the situation carefully and knows what he is talking about. There is a difference between truthfull, thoughtfull, insightfull criticism; and vengeful, hatefull diatribe. To say the air raids were war, when in fact they were just one retaliation in a long line of retaliations we have had for 10 yrs; is false diatribe. To say it was stupid, without bothering to waste one second on why it may be smart, is false diatribe. But hey, if that is what you want to do, you have my blessing. Your posts used to be some of the best on this thread. Why the change? How do we get the old Ted back.
