Jazz, >>It's weird to see on CNBC, this thread

I don't think there is a lack of understanding of pe here on this board, we are just pissed off at cnbc, yahoo, clearstation etc which have wrong numbers for QCOM earnings ( 10 - 13 cents), and as a result a wrong pe, 580 or some silly thing like that.

Hmmm... very interesting. So the "actual PE" is calculated for the current year. As the current year is now, let me check my calendar, hmm yes at around February, it means that we still have 10 months to go.

In other words we have to work the Chinese deals into the "actual PE" also (as anyone who has followed this thread the past 6 years knows the next big juicy Chinese deal is just around the corner).

After doing the math I have arrived at the "actual PE" of mind-bogglingly low 0.26 Obviously the stock is severely undervalued and any talk about Q´s real PE being 500+ is pure eurocommunist propaganda.

Real time p/e at a price of 65 is 76.54 based on trailing 12 month earnings.
