Yes, i'm sure you are right...clearly we don't want to break 2250. must be "the bottom". i would be a buyer here if we start moving higher. but if we don't and we break this 2250 level which is soooo important, then i think we will bottom around 500-600 in two years. when the p/e's come down to historical norms and the earnings recession ends. I could be too optimistic though...it might take 10 years to get us back into a bull market.

P.S. how many times have you perma bulls called the bottom in the last 52 weeks?

Nasdaq, bottom? How on Earth could you make such an assessment when the market closed near the lows of the day?

It's really rather foolish to call bottoms. You end up looking foolish when the market moves right thru it. The communications companies throughout the world aren't going to roll over and play dead. It may be slower growth until the rates are low enough for them to borrow, but there is a heck of a lot of network to build in the world. I'm not as optimistic as Eric's prediction of 95(?) in '03, but I see a double in three years from here unless there is a worldwide recession. Y'all know the phone companies aren't going to dry up and blow away. Technology is the driving force in the economy and the companies that purchase and use it correctly will be those that prosper.knc
