Differing is healthy. That's where new ideas come from. Question, What would an addition of 6 months of the total oil useage of the entire United States added to the worlds production over the next 25 years do to the domestic price of energy?

On the public radio a few weeks back I heard it is probably the second largest field ever in the US and has the could be #1.

As for wrecking the environment have you seen prudhole bay? Yes a small town but no more damaging than small towns throughout the country. The real danger is oil spills which can be cleaned up (i.e. made part of the requirement which it is for prudhole bay) and the animals which are doing well in the prudhole bay area.

I think we area talking about an area of 1000 acres out of a 1.5 million acre area.

The extremest have taken this to an extreme. Its not as bad as you've been led to believe.
