<< court extended mandatory supply today to the sunshine state>>

Great, provides an excellent list of short candidates once the techs and financials finish melting:

Letbetter's testimony came Wednesday as a federal judge in Sacramento
once again extended his order requiring Reliant, which has about 3,800
megawatts of generating capacity in California, and three other generators to
continue providing electricity to the California Independent System Operator
(news - web sites) (ISO), which manages most of the state's transmission
grid.

Reliant and fellow generators, Williams Cos. (NYSE:WMB - news), AES
Corp. (NYSE:AES - news) and Dynegy Inc. (NYSE:DYN - news) have
balked at supplying power to the ISO on behalf of Edison International's
(NYSE:EIX - news) Southern California Edison (news - web sites) and
PG&E Corp.'s PCG.N (NYSE:PCG - news) Pacific Gas and Electric.
