Ravi Batra.....the great depression every so often guy....works on 60 year cycles. Read his "The Great Depression of 1990" in the 80's. Never bothered with "The Great Depression of 2000". LOL!!

Actually, when I was reading that piece you posted, it reminded me of Batra. No focus on wheat, but dominance of four human types on a very long historical scale and then factors effecting boom and bust. Can't remember specifics, but it was pretty interesting.
