This is one area where Linux has an advantage, presently.
Sun is just beginning to ramp up in that space, and it's
pretty difficult for them to determine 'compelling value',
especially if the installation has GNU/Linux Beowolf
experienced engineers. There's quite a few Linux
admins in Australia and not as many Sun Certified branded
Solaris engineers (yet).

Hi Charles - I show the last after market trade for SUNW at $18 7/8 (on Schwab)! I will be picking up more shares tomorrow for my trading account. The mid quarter conference call scheduled for Thursday will be quite interesting. I look forward to what our management will say. At the annual meeting (which both you and I attended), our management was spending mored dollars on expanding their Santa Clara campus with hiring more employees and looking at other facilities for the future.

I will be listening to see if SUNW will be holding back on future expansion, specifically if they put on a hiring freeze.

If the mode is to continue forward with their planned expansion with modest current budget reviews, I will assume that the company remains on target to grow at the 25% to 30% rate stated by CFO Lehman.

If however, our management takes a more agressive stance on forward growth, this investor will be quite concerned about the future. You are right that in the past we had significant share price hits but over time the stock always came back strong.

Our Ace-in-the-whole is how SUNW continues to delivers their storage products to their installed base. If we hear that this is going well, then we are in good shape. If we stumble again in this area then this is another area for concern.

I will be quite interested in how our management see's the next few quarters. We know that overall business is slower but any guidenance and forward look will provide clarity to investors and should rally the stock.
