I may not have learned very much in my time on the planet. I didn't study economics or banking or high finance. My view on the world is merely practical.

See, I turn down enough of these "low introductory interest rate" credit card offers to know that lower interest rates do not translate linearly into increased borrowing.

Period. Reality intrudes on the nice theory. That is all.
