sharp. OTH Im afraid of simplifying it to the level, where I see poor Nihon-sans working their ass off for US cowboys. Or saying "You should do better than get involved with Pearl Harbour".

In any case there's a strange symbiosis between the two sides of this equation.

Will have to work more on it.

Dolinar has a good read of the current relationship between US and Japan. As long as that does not change (Japan keeps depending on export to earn $, and on investment to lose $), there is no hope. It is time for Japan to grow up. Time, demographics, and social framework works against them.
