CME Response on New CME Fees: We have been trying to get all our data distributors to implement these changes. Unfortunately, some vendors are not planning to support these products. (Exchanges do not have contractual rights to force vendors to implement all data programs, only that they comply with policies for the programs they do implement.) We are compiling a list of those vendors who are planning to offer the free e-mini package. In the meantime, the free quotes will still be available on CME.com. We realize this is not a substitute for all the integrated services offered by the vendors, but that it offers a stop-gap solution until our market data customers can select a vendor who meets their needs.
