QUALCOMM Expands eAnywhere Telecom's CDMA License for 3G CDMA

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 2001--QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), pioneer and world leader of Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) digital wireless technology, today announced an amendment to eAnywhere Telecom Inc.'s existing CDMA subscriber unit license agreement which expands the licenses under QUALCOMM's CDMA patent portfolio to include the development, manufacture and sale of subscriber equipment for WCDMA and TD-SCDMA products. Prior to the amendment, eAnywhere Telecom's CDMA license covered only cdmaOne(TM), cdma2000 and cdma2000 1xEV applications. Under the terms of the amendment, eAnywhere Telecom will pay QUALCOMM a license fee and ongoing royalties at the same rates irrespective of the licensed CDMA standard.

"This extended license agreement will enable eAnywhere Telecom to expand its wireless product offerings that allow high-speed wireless access to the Internet.
