Its why I have not bought this DIP. If anything negative pops up soon, I could see Qcom plumeting. At 30 I would buy 50,000 shares. Id love the opportunity, that would be around 20PE. Be carefull with Qcom its bucked TA for many moons though, NEXTL, or ATT(CDMA) or China contracts could reverse that sucker in 1 hour. Its no BRCD etc, They are a CASH COW, and one of the few companies that has an improving business.

Looking at the chart I think high 50's low 60's will hold unless NAZ collapses. There is VERY strong suport at that level.

I think Q may have lost its anti-stock footing. If this TL breach holds, it's a quick trip to test that upper 50s support. I'd absolutely play that bounce in some fashion - lighten up shorts, trade a few calls. Then I think it's headed to about 30. Typically, solid companies will trade down to about 20-25X future earnings in a genuine panic, and I'm starting to smell the first signs of fear here.

Mind you, if Greenboink eases today, it could all slingshot higher. However, if I'm E-Z himself, I should be waiting to pull in as much speculator money on the short side as possible, wait for true new lows, wait for a few more hurting longs to admit defeat, then you ping the system with another "Surprise!" He's got to conserve bullets from here out.

I actually added to my shorts at the open today. Unbelievably, I got many positions on at 5%+ above yesterday's close. I guess there were plenty of nervous shorts covering in some of this little trash.

It doesn't surprise me that everyone is getting antsy on this board, either. I expect more than half this thread to be *long* if a BK ever does happen. The trading itch is just too strong here.

Keep the long view.

i agree re: QCOM. i don't see why this stock should be at 60-70 times forward earnings, especially when a large chunk of earnings are from investments. since the uptrend from last july, this has seemed like the quintessential chart-hugger stock to me.

Any idea as to where the next support is on QCOM? You seem to have studied it quite thoroughly!
