The silence, as you say, is revealing. Maybe no royalty news is BAD royalty news. But the other side of the issue is that ANY news, good or bad, must be made available to shareholders and the public in a timely manner. In previous conference calls, particularly the one last October, SanDisk has given some details of its royalty and licensing fees and the expected changes in the following quarter. If subsequent changes are materially different from the earlier guidance, then the law requires disclosure of the changes.

I think something else may be going on, but I'm not sure I have enough evidence to speculate on what the real story is. I have an idea, though.
