I think Siemens already had a stake in EFNT through their venture arm (as I recall). Also, I hear not all DSL vendors have products suitable for hot European market. So I'm not sure how much carryover there is from EFNT to other cos.

Do you understand why companies engage in stock buybacks, when they should do them, and the consequences to the balance sheet?

Are you aware that many of the problems that companies in the telecom sector are experiencing are partly related to stock repurchases and the subsequent detioration of cash positions on the balance sheet?
