<ot> ed, Berkshire's a lovely county, especially the bit by the Thames where it borders Buckinghamshire - this is roughly due west of London. On this stretch, we're talking Eton, Windsor, Bray, Marlow, Bisham, Hurley, Henley... all historical, pretty villages/towns. Tilbury, OTOH, has London's container docks and (as I recall from one journey past) a good view of the Thames marshes and grain/oil storage vaults. Property's probably much cheaper there, however...
