If you are behind a firewall, you have to open the ports on the firewall. You don't have to do anything on the Win98 machine itself (that I know of). Where are you running eSignal? At home, work - one a cable modem, dsl? What is your system configuration?

Opening ports refers to opening ports on a firewall ...

If you are running on a standalone system, then you don't need to open ports on a firewall ...
