tejek... Let's examine what was said in your post...

I said, "Yes, I know that. But it is illegal to receive fees in exchange for a pardon."

To receive fees for requesting a pardon for a client is quite different that receiving fees in exchange for a pardon.

Now tell me you still don't understand and I will attempt to explain further.
