"I hope your grand children can profit you LTBH approach."

Lol! Too funny! Actually I don't expect SEBL to be around when my grandchildren finally arrive (my oldest is only 8). Don't you worry though. I am fully hedged with puts (SEBL & IBM) as *crash* protection. Actually if we take a sharp dive from here over the next week or so I am better off. I'll cash out my puts and buy more SEBL LEAPs. If SEBL takes a sharp drop to the low-mid 40's, possibly even an extremly quick visit to the high 30's (possible if the NAZ tumbles to 1800 or so) I will make out HUGE (I hold SEBL 40 puts and 90 puts on IBM)! Do you know how fast SEBL would rocket back to it's present mark if it dropped to say.. 38-40 over the next day or so? The reflex rally alone, along with the market, would jettison us up past the 50 mark so fast your head would spin. It's never wise in a market such as this to be totally long, or short. My preference is always long but a nice hedge of writing calls or buying a few OTM puts is a good idea at critical points. Never get too greedy (i.e. your shorts could rip your head off if you picked them up at these prices my friend... for your sake I hope you bought them a good 10-20 points higher..).

p.s. Uncle Frank would get a chuckle over your "LTBH" remark concerning me. I would hardly call myself a "LTBH" this last year. I DO hope to become one (again) within the next year or so!

chojiro,

I don't remember seeing your screen name and I checked to see that you haven't posted as recently as this year. If you've been following the thread, you might agree with me that this one isn't based on rah-rah cheerleading; instead, we're an open-minded lot that thrives on contemplating contrary opinions. In that light, I wonder if you'd mind explaining the fundamentals that justify your short position. (If it's only technical analysis, feel free to explain that but don't be surprised to learn that I'm totally ignorant of TA.) I'm sure I'm not alone in wanting to see all the reasons not to be long in Siebel.
