You obviously don't understand how the recession got started. It was the one-two punch of Bush's oil buddies running up the price of energy for no economic reason while Bush bad mouthed the economy. All this was designed to illustrate an election time need for a tax cut, a need that they created. The trouble is it got away from them, (because they are way too stupid to control the economic forces they unleased) and we are now shedding jobs faster than W's dog Spot sheds fleas.
