Yes, that is a classic post, it showed how early I was to recognize that a major bear market was to come. I got so much sh!t from people for becoming a bear, but slowly all the idiots started disappearing. Yet, I am still here, RIGHT as usual.

It was on that day that I officially turned into a bear and have done so adamently ever since. I lost $200k (25%) of my capital and made most of it back by buying dividend paying stocks and bonds. That loss of capital was a pittance compared to what I made and the speed at which I made it. I am still in my mid 20's and only started speculating in the fall of 1998 with $10,000.

I ended 2000 down 50k. Plus unlike most of the morons on SI, I actually have a job and am getting an education from one of the best higher finance institutions in the world - paid for all cash. I ain't crying.

Had you listened to me, you wouldn't have bought BRCD at 80 or any of the other bombs you probably have made since that post was made.

I don't care what your cost basis is, that's IRRELEVANT, what counts is what you will do today, tomorrow, and the days after. If you ever took an undergrad econ course in your life, you would know that; you would understand the meaning of opportunity cost. You can't even read a balance sheet.

It's your low cost basis and the fact that so many people have such low cost basis' that makes me think that Nasdaq goes ALOT lower and people like you get hurt the most. Go buy some property so you can lose so more equity.

End of conversation.
