As of 12/31/00, on the year end earnings report there were 427.125MM shares used to calculate diluted earnings. I see SI is using 550MM shares to calculate market cap. I saw the 13MM share convertible news but I don't understand where the other 110MM shares are coming from? Did I miss some news from the past 2 months that accounts for these additional shares?

If the share count is 440MM then the market cap is $6.6Billion, not $9Billion. S+P has 2001 revenue estimate over $2Billion, which would reduce the P/S ration to 3.3, half what is being shown on most websites.

I'm new to researching EXDS, so any help would be appreciated.

TIA,
