And who cares, other or not? Is this the same company
or what? Who would support all "other", carefully
crafted (as we were told here) over years, investments?

From outside, on the balance sheet, it does not matter.
AMD has "other business" too, embedded products for
example, where the profits may not be as high as in
x86 PCs.

Are you saying that Intel would suddenly dump out
all "other" businesses and admit that the diversification
was a bad idea and the money were wasted?
