rrman, I think Chomsky's book on Kosovo was right on. The whole idea of "Humanitarian" war was an absurd Clintonesque response to a very complicated situation. The most humanitarian thing we could do was the Bush Administration position which was to place an arms embargo to the region. Clinton broke it with a back room deal and gave 200 million in weapons to the Croatians and Bosnians. They promptly used it for ethnic cleansing resulting in more death and destruction. -John
