I expect the same. A bipartisan plan allowing $2M-$5M to pass tax free, but still subjecting the "big guys" to the tax. I do hope they keep the "stepup", as figuring the basis on old, old assets is almost impossible. Especially if you don't have the control over SOMEONE ELSES retroactive record keeping.

Too late for me however, my mother-in-law died in 1989 and thanks to the ballooning stock market, her estate got caught. On the other hand, better that than had the stocks NOT ballooned...
