Ah, but did you see this:

You guys just don't get it, do you?

COMPASSION? Sorry, fella, I got compassion fatigue years ago. And the more you whine, the worse it gets. Maybe if you shut for a while it might come out of hibernation. You want compassion? Get a dictionary.

What you need to get is that the productive part of the population- -you know, those dumb fools who lead normal lives, pretty much stay out of trouble, go to work each day- -are tired of supporting freeloaders.

Want to eat? Get a job.
Better get one quick, though, because the economy is heading down and their getting scarce again.

Oh, yes, we do still have some charity left in us, though. Been laid off and need tiding over to your next job. Glad to help. Really disabled or really mentally ill? (That's means not faking it and not "emotionally disabled"- -I and millions of others have gone to work when we REALLY didn't want to and after we've received horrible news the night before and when we were worried as hell about something or other.) No problem; we'll take care of you.

But are you able-bodied and just lazy or think the world owes wonderful you a living?
Then starve, buddy.

There is nothing "compassionate" about trapping families in a cycle of dependency on government handouts generation after generation. Something had to be done to break the cycle. Wisconsin's experiment was imaginative, effective, and, yes, compassionate.

Another example of the genius of Federalism which allows the fifty states to try different things and learn from the successes and failures of the others.

Let me tell you the same thing I told one of your compadre's the other night. Stop the rhetoric and lets get right down to it.

The rich guy couldn't quite get a grip on gun control. Let's see if you can do better on welfare.

The earnings of the 62 percent of welfare leavers or current recipients who worked averaged only $8,560

I'm sure that you are not up to speed on this but in Dunn county the average wage is 10,350, if we go further north the average wage in Bayfield county is 6,975.

Does this mean the average person leaving welfare in my state is overpaid or underpaid?

Now please keep in mind that housing is relative to where you live. 100K will buy half the upscale house's in the county around here.
