IBEX, Irwin Jacobs has said the bigest threat to Qcom is the delay of 3G services in any way. It is you who doesnt understand the ramifications of delay's in 3G buildout's. It has been Qcom's policy not to diferentiate between WCDMA and CDMA2000 because royalty rates are the same for both. This announcement though not unexpected is a blow to Qcom despite your witty analyisis. If your lucky it's the reason stock got pummeled today, and Qcom will bounce back with Nasdaq. It aint the end of the world, but teleco's have no money to buildout 3G. If China buildout has any delay Qcom stock will plummet now, because it is the only hope to maintain earnings going forward until 3G does get built.
