Nice reference David, thanks for all the good work. I'm going out on a limb here but...what does Bob care as long as no one takes him to task (irony) when he's proven wrong. Without the excellent historical reference on Suite101.com, all the discussion would be like the ones here. No memory. I wonder if, by saying such incredibly bullish things to a journalist, he doesn't actually increase his subscriber base by at least a clueless few. They're going to want to know what that secret is and, even though it's actually written there for free, they're going to want to know what's behind it. Notice these guys who have set reality on IGNORE here (well, they're actually peeking but we won't tell). They can't stand to hear the reality of the situation and they'd rather shoot the messenger than question the source. Human nature is so fallible and so sad.

I2: RE: "Is there a way to totally eliminate seeing those messages" There were 3 "Ignore Options". I checked off all three. As a result, none of the ignored messages appear and there are huge gaps in the message count between some visable messages. P

Ignore doesn't work well when all you see while viewing "next 10 messages" is "This message is ignored" on 8 of of 10 of them. I emailed SI to add the feature to not show that when viewing in that mode. Makes a really good thread almost unbearable. I mean, I don't mind when people are strong in their views, but geeesh, get a life. It's extremely annoying. A "once a day bitch and moan" would be OK, but 3 or 4 times an hour? What's the point to it all...? todd
