Reagan had a cold war to win. He took over a country demoralized by Carter.
Bush has no cold war only a country demoralized in a different way by Clinton. Bush should be his own man. Not follow Reagan...

I thought Star Wars was a laser beam that took out the missle at apogee. when it was moving relatively slow?

Cruise missiles rarely hit a stationary target, much less one moving at 5,000 miles per hour.

Then its a good thing that there is no plan to use cruise missiles for missile defense.
