Actually the numbers that Kyocera implied is the following: the GSM handsets (a la Nokia, Ericsson, etc) will be lowered due to lack of demand. The CDMA handset number (QCOM) will increase.

Also, delay in 3G in Europe may be a blessing in disguise for QCOM. Too much confusion over W-CDMA (the one not preferred by QCOM), whereas, the CDMA2000 (QCOM preferred) is ready to roll out in the US, Asia, etc.

glad I got out of QCOM earlier in the week..<g>
